Music Industry Veteran / Manager / Creative Director / Philanthropy Endeavors / Mind Body Spirit Human Architect Brenda studied at the University of Texas, majoring in Music focused as a voice major, she studied music for 3 years for music theory and voice and then later decided to flow into the marketing and pubic relations studies within the music sector. Brenda graduated from University of Texas with a BA in Communications, PR, and Marketing and minor in Music. After undergrad, she decided to pursue her studies as a graduate student at Metropolitan University in New York City. She graduated with a Masters in Business, focusing her MBA in the entertainment industry within music, cinema, publishing, theatre, and entertainment law. She began her career in New York in 2004 at an indie PR company called Big Hassle, where she worked with artists like Rufus Wainwright, The Strokes,The National, Ben Folds Regina Spector, and Ray LaMontagne. Soon after was asked to join the team at Geffen Records in 2005, and relocated to Los Angeles to focus on publicity for Geffen artists Snoop, Mary J Blige, The Roots, Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def. In 2007, she decided to cross territories and go into International PR and marketing. From domestic PR to international PR she spent 10 years at Interscope Records and grew to become the lead Director of International PR at Interscope working with Mary J Blige, Pharrell Williams, N.E.R.D, Gwen Stefani, No Doubt, The Black Eyed Peas, Will.i.am, Fergie, Lady Gaga, Robin Thicke, Dr Dre, 50 Cent, The Game, Timbaland, Diddy, Cassie, M.I.A., Nelly Furtado, Maroon 5, and Madonna, among others. In 2014, Brenda was asked to join the management team at Maverick with Ron Laffitte co-managing Alicia Keys. Maverick, management collective was announced in 2014 representing and managing careers of artists Pharrell Williams, Alicia Keys, Paul McCartney, The Weeknd, Charlie Puth, Soundgarden, One Republic, Ryan Tedder, U2, Arcade Fire, Christina Perri, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears, & Madonna. In 2017 Brenda joined Swizz Beatz in his team launching and activating the Dean Collection : No Commissions Art Fair in Miami. With the statement “Made by the Artists, for the Artists, with the People” In 2017, Brenda launched an independent company, Creative Constellations, and signed and managed British Electronic duo AlunaGeorge. Brenda partnered and produced a philanthropic project for Maya Angelou High School in South Central LA with Branded Arts. The campus was activated with murals for incredible muralists Shepard Fairey , JR , Nunca, Cyrcle, Daniel Arsham, musicians Miguel and Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC, In-Q, & NASA JPL. In 2019, Brenda launched The Tiger’s Eye co-managing the artists, Lauren Jauregui, kai, Chika, Diana Gordon. Today Brenda is developing a mind, body, wellness, sector of the Tiger’s Eye to support the movements of artists and their teams to build solid foundations of each individual in a team mindset, to sustain the responsibilities and overall movements of the demanding industry.
